Sometimes a situation/circumstance/incident is overthought. If and when it is that's probably better than the alternative. At the moment just looking to cover all basics whilst bodywork off.

Theoretically, if you had a leaking float needle valve, it may be possible to have hydraulic lock, if a cylinder has a lot of gas in it.Thanks Ron. Been pondering on this one, what is the actual point of having shut off valve given that fuel isn't going anywhere if pump switched off?
This happened to a good friend recently. He bought a very cheap CBR1000F (Hurricane) to renovate off ebay. Faulty manual petcock, worn float needle valve, crankcase full of gas/petrol.... you can guess the rest. One replacement engine later..................:sadstill a bargain though)Theoretically, if you had a leaking float needle valve, it may be possible to have hydraulic lock, if a cylinder has a lot of gas in it.
