Getting started....won't start

Looking for some help since I'm 25% invested in my sons' GoPro. We can't get Studio to run. We have a Windows 8.1 system and supposed to be OK. The computer shows that Studio is a loaded program, however, it will not open from the shortcut or program list. My son downloaded some snowboarding videos to the laptop and wants to use Studio to edit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by him now and me later.... as I'll use my investment while riding the STeed this season !

Since it won't open, try removing GP Studio and reinstalling it. Here is a link to make sure you're doing it right:

appreciate the idea, but did so 3 times and it won't operate properly. I will gladly read through the link to see what I might be able to do differently. THANKS !!!
