I have a J&P Cycles magazine that has Progreesive Suspension 465 Series Monoshocks in it.
Model ZZ69409 and ZZ69410 (1" lowered) are for 03-12 ST1300's.

I am inquiring about the ZZ69410 primarily.....

I have PS shock and springs on my 1100, great improvement over stock. I've ridden a couple 1300s, both with stock and PS, noticeable difference over stock. The lowered shock is helpful for the vertically challenged, but you will find the pegs dragging sooner...

I had one on a BMW to replace the stock shock which had worn out. It held up and handled really well.

Progressive are quality components. I had their shock and fork springs in my first-gen Concours. As for installation, its not difficult, just a bit involved. I swapped springs on my '04 ST1300 and it basically involves removing the rear wheel and a few other bits to get access to the rear shock. There is a 'how-to' somewhere in this forum.

I've had my shock off 3 times now. I wouldn't say it's easier than an oil change. The first time is a real pain in the butt. Once you put the bottom bolt back in from the left side it is much easier.

Thanks for the info. !!
I am thinking about the 1" lower. I can "choke up" on the forks about 1/4".

Going with the Progressive Suspension rear shock. I found it at Dennis Kirk for a good price. $539.00 with RAP adjuster, shipped to my door.
Now to sort out the forks....I am inquiring about the Hyper Pro front fork springs that are progressive to match my new progressive rear set-up.

Check amazon.com. I've found mine there for almost $100 cheaper, expecting it to be delivered Tuesday. Can't wait to install it. I ordered 465-1128 for $367...

I ordered the one with the remote adjuster . Thus the price difference. The 1300 has a remote also.

I've had the Progressive 465 series with remote preload for almost 2 years now. Shock works great and is very well built. Also at a better price then most shocks out there. I ride mostly 2 up and it handles it very nicely!
I also changed the oil in the forks to the Showa SS-55 10w. I'm very happy with the ride quality of my St with these suspension changes. One of the better riding bikes I've ever ridden, handles the bumpy roads very well.

I just finished with the shock install. Very in-depth. I took my time and all went well. Now to tackle the next thing on my list.
I will be doing the front forks soon. Hyper-Pro 1.05 progressive springs with 7wt oil.
I will do a ride report when done !
