So I just came back from Urologist and he said that MC seats can cause high PSA numbers. He is running tests on me to be sure but said that has been his experience. I had never heard that before.

Almost anything that irritates the prostate can cause "high" PSA numbers. A bicycle seat can do that (irritate the prostate), so I guess a MC seat could do it too. The high reading is typically temporary and will fall back into a range that is normal for you following rest. Does that mean a MC seat can "cause" high PSA numbers? I'm not an MD so I can't answer that question, but it definitely does not sound like anything I would be concerned about.

I think this doctor is extrapolating from something that was published a few years ago about bicycle seats. Ask him to show you his source.

Run all the tests and, if indicated, biopsy. Don't ignore it, or let anyone's explanation of "just the seat" give you any excuse to procrastinate.

Talk to Bluestormer I wanted to say that earlier but didn't want to without his OK he already responded above he is a DR.

I am not overly concerned but not ignoring it either. Dr wants baseline numbers which makes sense. Going for blood work today to compare to 2 months ago. He also did a "DNA urine" test which he said was far more accurate than mere blood work.

Going to surgeon today (the fun never stops) to find out why 30 days later I am still uncomfortable after having gall bladder removed. Lost around 20lbs thus far.
