After much research, I decided I didn't like anything on the market. Then I found a link on the FJR forum, and decided it might meet my requirements. Attached are photos of my screamer.

Perhaps my biggest concern was theft. Whatever solution I used, it had to be quick to mount and unmount, as I didn't want someone to steal it. And all connections mounts had to be waterproof, as I ride in the rain on a regular basis. I also desired an easy way to mute the speaker (I really didn't want to be sitting next to the police at a red light with this thing screaming), hence the cut out swith just above the starter button.
Yes, it is loud. Yes, it's saved me twice in the last week. Yes, I wish I had built it 6 months ago. The Escort 8500x50 cost $250.00, the radar box was $60, and the relay and speaker set me back about another $25. I already had the Ram arm, and the cut out switch was an extra $15. So for about $350 bucks, I've bought my self a little buffer agianst the occasional indescretion. And I can mount or unmount in a matter of seconds...
