Homemade ST 1300 Hitch

Here are some pictures of a hitch I made to pull my Time-out camper trailer.
The hitch attaches to the lower sub-frame bolt and the muffler support.
Both bolts needed to be replaced with bolts longer than what was stock.
The trailer coupler is integral to the trailer tongue. For my application I do not need what is considered a standard ball.

Nice looking hitch.

I did not know they still made them that way. I had a Time Out cargo trailer back in 1978 with that kind of coupler. It was a bit of a hassle to hook and unhook, but worked well, overall.
