How do you mount your phone?

I have an iphone5 with lifeproof case. I am practically on call 24/7 for work. I want to be able to see my phone while riding. I don't need to answer calls, just see if it is work that is texting me. I can pull over and respond to the text message. I thought about just gluing some velcro to the case and sticking it on the bike, but where? I don't see a logical place for that. Headphones or earbuds may not work for me. I don't want to here every text or call I get. I just want to look at the phone and see if work is sending me a text. What do you think?

I found a handlebar mount for my iPhone 4 on Amazon. I'm sure Ram makes a mount for the 5. You will probably have to lose the case though. I wanted a mount that would fit into the Garmin "ball". I use a like mount in both of my cars too. I shoot music to earbuds via Bluetooth. It will beep when you get a text.

I use a RAM mount when the weather is good. If its questionable, and might get a light sprinkle, it goes in the map pocket of my tank bag where I can still check it. For foul weather, it just goes in my tank bag...but I can hear it because its always connected to my helmet headset via bluetooth, running through my GPS (and incoming calls are visible on the GPS screen, so I know who it is. Doesn't work with texts though.)

I also have an iPhone with the lifrproof case. Ram has a mount called the "X" mount that fits over the case. When I priced it with all the other stuff, was around $40, not sure.

Kind of like Siri?
Off topic, my daughter was curious about where the appendix is located in a human body so she asked Siri, "Where's your appendix located?" The response: "I'd rather not say." (hahaha)

I also have the Ram X-Grip. My phone is in an otterbox and it fits great in the mount. You can use the mount for other things as well. I have a timer I put in it for LD rides and I've even used it to hold my Florida Sunpass toll transponder. Here is a rear view of it holding a digital timer,

What kind of screws are these on the sides of the dashboard? If I take them out, will nuts and washers fall into the abyss?
Sorry if the pic is side ways. Not sure what happened there. Its the screws just above the headlight adjuster and buttons.

I use the RAM X-Grip also, connected to the RAM ball on my Heli Riser. RAM also has mounts that connect to your clutch or brake lever mounts.

Nothing behind the screws. (Safe to take out)

I'm using iPhone 4S in lifeproof case veil rode to the top of "tank", since I have GPS mounted between the bars. Only thing is that I have to look down a bit, but they're both in one line so it's not much of a problem for me. I too want to see who's calling before I answer. I'm using scala rider Bluetooth kit and I listen to the music and have escort radar detector paired with the phone as well. Works great for me. Velcro is great thing. No screws, bolts, rams...

Velcro to the tank would be great, but I'm not sticking anything to the tank of a new motorcycle. I would stick something to the plastic dash or pocket lids.

I understand, but you should not worry about paint. Once I had to take off the piece of Velcro that was from tank to relocate it to better spot, with little cleaning with rubbing alcohol there was no glue or any marks left. But than again, it's a personal choice and I respect that.
