How old is your ST

Mine is 5 years young (well, maybe 6, depending on when it was mfr'ed) with 27k mi on the clock. It can easily outlast me on any trip and I think it will probably out last me period. It seems to get heavier and taller with time - or is that me shrinking?

Another 2002 with 48000 miles new to me guess i can wait a few more years before upgrades:):biker: did switch to amsoil

1994 ST1100. Bought in 2009 with 24,850, now has 50,650. Only major problem was Hot Fuel Pump Seizure Syndrome, which I seem to have corrected with the fuel pump from a wrecked '01.

Just bought my first ST last week. A 1991 with just over 17000 miles. PO rode it for five years, parked it for 20. The PO had the carbs, brakes, starter, alternator rebuilt and used a butt load of cleaners on it. Looks like a five year old bike...only a slight little fading and a very few stone chips. Paint still has a mirror finish, NO corrosion under the cowls. I'm replacing the timing belt this weekend. Not enough miles for a belt change, but sometimes it is the time that hurts. Plan to put several hundred miles on her before hitting the road...just to shake out any possible age related illnesses. I'm thinking this is a good trade up from my '78 GL1000's.

Hey nokesy you coming to OnStoc? ANd no major issues with that many kms? What have you done in the way of major maintence?

I will be there. nothing but regular oil, brakes, tires and standard checks. The rear brake valve was done under warranty, both front fork seals done in last 30,000 both wheel rims as they were dented in Mexico. Some plastic due to impact with deer. Other than that, nothing.

Just sold my 1996 1100 with only 105k km (65244 mi) on it, and got me a 2007 1300 - with just 10.5k km (6524 mi) on it! That translates to less than 1000 km / 620 mi per year. She was always sitting inside in a heated garage, but now she'll have to work for a living! :biker:

I just bought a new to me 2012 with 2200 miles on it. It now has 2700 miles. Bought it two weeks ago from a guy that bought it new in Wisconsin back in March of this year. He flew up there from Tennessee to buy it and rode it back home. They were selling here for $14,999 new and I think he bought it for $12,780 plus/minus.

Mine is a 2006 with 65,500 miles. I bought it new as a leftover in 2008. All it has required out of normal servicing has been a set of fork seals. If my ST were damaged or stolen, within a week I would replace it with another ST.

I acquired my 2005 ST just over 6 months ago at around 19K miles, and I've only added about a thousand since then (but that'll improve...)

Well...let's see...

'05 Bought new, Nov 2005, put 174.3K miles on it, sold it to my son in Oregon and he has put about 10K on it in two years.
'04#1 Bought wrecked, Feb 2012, 31K on it, I restored it and have put about 37K on it and it is sitting on my lift waiting for some major maintenance.
2010 bought wrecked, Apr 2013, with unknown miles (approx 1,500 miles) I restored it and have put about 34K on it now.
'04#2 Bought wrecked, Apr 2014, Unknown mileage (no idea <30K?) I restored it and am now using it for commuting, I've put about 6K on it since I started riding it.

I've got plenty of life left in all three, I doubt if any are going anywhere anytime soon.

If you add all four bike's mileage up, I'm at about 251K on ST1300s in the last 9.5 years! :D

And Now, I'll have a brand new 2012 sometime next month.
