So is there an off-the-shelf LED kit for ST1300 that is requires no mods for reuse of stock boot, good performance, & appropriate pattern with cutoff line?
OPT7 is rated for 50k hours but no reflector dish.
It seems Genssi gets poor reviews for lifespan.

You will find that the Evitek G6 is plug and play on the ST1300. You will have to cut off the lower tabs like you do on an H4 halogen bulb. The mounting ring twists off and you can install the ring in the light housing. then you can put on the stock rubber boot, then the bulb will go in next. Read the G6 thread here as well. There is enough slop that the beam can be easily made level. If there is any flare make sure that the shields are level then slightly adjust up the shields. This bulb may last you 3,000,000 miles as well or the average life of ten ST1300's...

I have the G6 in a few trucks and 6 motorcycles but not in my daily rider (ST1300) which is testing the Genssi at the moment.

BPS brand ... I contacted them & they recommend their G7 product for H4/HB2/9003 for their best product offering for the ST1300. It also has the reflector built in. $85 on Amazon. There are 4 LED in a single file row so it may be the most ideal for a wide pattern & good cutoff. They recommend avoiding products that have the ballast built into the fan/heat sync assembly due to life reduction.

  • I already have a pair of Evitech G6 on order .. 4 led clustered into a square so we'll see if the pattern is ideal or blocky.
