Thanks Ken for the gentle nudges over the course of last year.
Thanks Jim for the help installing it last night.
Now that I have 500 miles on them, I can honestly say I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Feels almost exactly the same.
I can tell the difference, but I am good with it.

Where's my damn cookies??

Interesting camera work of the install, (and I'm not talking about the pictures above!)
I may go to the GYTT when my Hankook Ventus V-4 is done. So far, I like the V-4 better than the V-12.

How would it go over there with your insurance company in the case of an accident? I think using car tyres would invalidate any insurance policy this side of the pond.

A friend of ours has a Goldwing trike, the front tyre wears very quick on them,it's a 130/7018, I wonder what size car tyre would fit on it?

Huh... Only got 14, 427 out of the front before it cupped severely within 300 miles. Got a new one today.. That sounds about right?

Rear still looks brand new!

I got 21k out of each of two BT45s, and you know how my riding style is. Ride it like I stole it. It was cupping around 15k from local riding and start/stops, hard cornering, etc. but a couple highway trips would bring it back.

Probably the kinds of roads you are on. The same reason I used to get 4k out of a rear MC tire when others can get 2-3x that...my pavement up north was terrible.

Try beads... they eliminated cupping for me.

there is available, here anyway, a tyre that is a bike tyre but more of a flat tread , the Avon Safety Mileage Mk II. I fitted two of these to my Vulcan Nomad 1600 when I had fitted a sidecar - with the original tyres the sidecar had a nasty decel wobble and a generally dodgy feel, now it is just right and doesn't really need a damper. They are obtainable in the UK , not very dear and will last a long time, BUT they are tubed tyres. I have same size back and front. They are however supposed to be for solo bikes, and don't have the disadvantages of fitting a car tyre .

this is the dealer.
