Indeed that is true, it is in my shed. I fully intended to take a picture after work on Tuesday but it was dark before I returned home. Tonight I was reluctant to navigate the snow drifts. A photo is coming, although the various photographic submissions to date are very entertaining and I'm not sure I want to interrupt the fun:)

In the interim, here is a recent photo of me on a Boxer twin. One I rented in Palm Springs and enjoyed riding up and down, and up and down, the Mt. Palomar Observatory road as well as the Palms to Pines Highway (#74) out of Palm Desert.

I think Dean has gone to a V-Twin cruiser...this one even has the root-beer colored seats and tank! Yep, a Stratoliner.

I'm just going out on a limb here and say he's busy. I also suspect there is a shiny 2007 "extremely low mileage", well ridden and well cared for ST1300 that will become available on the market very shortly. Today the list includes fresh fluids, brakes and ensuring all maintenance items current so the new owner has to do nothing to go ride... there, I spilt some beans and didn't even ask permission... better to ask forgiveness, right?

OK, I made it out to the shed today to take some photos of my new bike. One that I can't wait to ride! Isn't it a beauty??!

Sure is hard to get a good angle in tight quarters. But as you could tell from the previous photo the back end isn't particularly lean.

So I've decided to try and balance the weight (for optimal handling) by adding this to the midsection. Mass centralization and all:)

Taking these photos did have me dreaming of my first ride of spring. Based on this photo of my back yard I suspect it won't be any time this week!

And a final couple of photos.

This is a 2014 Yamaha FJR fully equipped for touring. It came from the factory with an adjustable windscreen, ABS, traction control, 5 speed transmission, and electronic cruise control. The previous owner was a retired gentleman who added a few farkles - Race Tech suspension, RDL, top box, dash shelf, crash bars, flashed the ECU, and maintained it in impeccable fashion. :thumb:

Anyone one want to buy a gently used '07 ST1300?!?

I think that's a pretty good hint Dean.
You can't go wrong with a bike like that.
If this is the case congratulations.
I'm sure whatever you have chosen came with a great deal of research. You are one who does his homework.

was he asking too much for the side bags and you decided to go without because of the tank bag and massive Givi top box?

An FJR!!! I have to say I'm stunned by this. No Vespa? And didn't I hear you say just a few months ago that you'd never be seen dead on a Yamaha? Wow, what changed?

Very, very nice Dean! Congrats.

Kendoo gave it away last week with his post, #18. ;)
