It's not the stiffness of the GO Cruise that makes it suck IMO, it's that when I roll the throttle back on I have to set it again. Which is a somewhat awkward thing to do with your throttle hand - grip it, roll on while simultaneously using your index finger to roll the GO Cruise forward into position. Not the most natural action. With the Throttlemeister I just roll it back on, release and it stays.
The strange thing here for me is that the Go Cruise was far easier to use than the Throttlemeister which was on my bike from the day I bought it to the day I sold it. The GC takes half the adjustments in use to do it's job.

Variety is the spice of life and why some marry blondes and some marry redheads. Brunettes and electronic cc's trump them all!

NEP is very similar to the Vista Cruise. Mounts between your throttle grip and switch housing. All you have to do is flip it up or down with your thumb. Easiest to use by far. I've used a very small screw thru it and into the switch housing to secure it in place.

While not even in the league of the actual cruise controls before I bought one of these types for my Kawi

I used a zip tie on backwards so the zip didn't lock.

It worked for over 1100km / 683km until I swapped it for the more professional style above.

Skeptics of the zip tie method can see it in action below.

The tab fits between throttle cables to prevent rotation, the thumb lever is easy to reach and flip.

The screw is adjusted for no unwanted slippage, but still loose enough to permit manual override.

You may have to slide grip down throttle tube, with washers or a nut for space to bar weight.

Thumb ever is easily reached and flipped. Disengaged, with thumb lever up, and engaged with lever down:

I have a Rostra on my Nighthawk, and one to go on the ST, but the N.E.P. still comes in handy. Fast idle when warming up, or when using the compressor, for examples.

I see every one has their favorites. I probably won't be adding cruise control. But I am looking at trying the "Brakeaway". Anyone have any experience with one? I am interested in it since it can be adjusted up or down while still set and looks pretty much fool proof for disengaging (brake lever or release button).

Thank you,

The N.E.P. is easily over-ridden to adjust up or down while engaged, and releasing the thumb lever becomes instinctive quickly.
