Ok already! I'm officially jealous!
:cry::cry:
Yo Bro! You know if you would just make a lot more trips down to see me, you'd get a lot more mileage on your
I plan on getting back to CA in March. Of course everything depends on weather that time of the year.

Well, let's hope for some good weather out here then!
Congrats Bob I just did my first 300 miles on the new Russell and all I can say is I wish I hadn't waited so long to get it. As for the mileage I am chasing you I am at 96K and I will truy to hit 100k by years end. ( weather permitting )
Steve, that's great! 4,000 miles in six weeks...Let's hope your weather holds out!
G'day Bob - well done mate!
For those of us still on 30,000 miles, can you give a short run down on what major mechanical issues your bike had (if any) for us to keep an eye out for?
Cheers, Dave

Good Day Dave! Thanks!
issues that I ahve had have been:
around 17K my thermostat froze. (I fixed it)
around 30K the Thermostat housing started leaking.
Also around 30K My fuel guage started acting up. That was due to the sensor that is mounted on the fuel pump. - I took the bike in and also had the vavles checked...Mechanic fixed the fuel issue, but got the rubber heat shield caught in the left valve cover, causing an oil leak - I fixed the oil leak, new gasket and new torque wrench.
around 36K I was hit and had to have the forks most tupperware replaced. Also caused my headlight modulator to go out and windshield had cracks in it.
Not sure of the mileage, but in December of 2008, I had the alternator burn up on me. Because I had the extended coverage, it was covered (kicked in the month prior)!
I replaced the fork seals around 80K, one of them started leaking.
I have been replacing my tires around 11 to 12K (PR2s mostly).
I think on the most part, those have been my biggest issues.
I change the oil every 5K with Golden Spectro and use K&N 204 oil filters (bought 9 K&N filters off
ebay for a bargin of $19 for 3)
And I do most of the other maintenance myself (or with Byron's help). :clap2:
Really need to get to the clutch and brakes here soon.
