Laser Jammers

For the first time I ran into two CHP officers standing on the side of the road using Laser guns to check speeds. (fortunately I'd slowed down because I was getting ready to pull off for lunch) I have a Valentine radar detector but it didn't go off when they pointed their guns at me.

My question is; does anyone know anything about Laser Jammers?

I have the Blinder M25 with both heads mounted in front. One on my dash shelf and one under my headlight. It works great. Blinder just came out with a M27 unit that is not supposed to show jam codes on the laser gun.

Ohio gives out more speeding tickets than any other state and they use laser whenever they can. It has saved my bacon many times over.

I just slow down then turn if off so they can be happy about clocking me. It works!

lol, I'm only jamming those pesky invisible ones that the LEOs like to shoot at us. Your turn signal laser thingy's are safe. ;)

Yeah, about the cost of three tickets. ;) But a cost savings for the future. :D

I guess if I lived in an area that used laser more, I'd see the price differently. But i think I've only seen a cop using laser once or twice in the last 5 years.

BTW, Pashnit has a group buy price on the Blinder M27 customized for motorcycle use, and with a wireless helmet warning light:

http://www.pashnit.com/product/cheetah_m27.html

It's even more expensive, but offers some interesting features.

Can these blinders be interfaced with a standard radar detector such as the Escort Passport 8500 or 9500?

Nice pictures Roger, I can almost identify the bugs, lol.

When we were talking up at Americade, I forgot to ask you 3 things:

1) Where did you mount the interface module?

2) What are you using for alerts (LED, speaker, alarm via Autocom, etc.)?

3) Is there any evidence of reflection or splatter from the head mounted on the dash shelf?

Under the rear seat.

I have the sound pumped into my autocom system. I also have the Cheetah Vizalert wireless helmet display but don't like it and don't use it.

I don't know. There probably is. You are supposed to mount one LED in the front and one in the back. I figure two up front was better so that's what I did. The one under the headlight is probably the one doing most of the jamming.

Pashnit.com has a group buy going on a laser jammer called a Cheetah C50 for $99. That puts the price in the range for mere mortals.

John
I used Pashnit.com to buy the Blinder M25 unit that I currently have. Maybe I need to sell it and get an M27. ;)

Just a warning before dropping that much cash, they may be illegal in your area. Jammers are not allowed in Colorado.

I don't have my bike rigged yet but I run Escort's ZR4(Cincinnati Microwave) front/rear jammers linked to my Beltronics GX 65 on my 2006 GTO.

Not aware of Blinders products...but the ZR4 uses jamming in front(as they aim for your reflective headlight lens) and a rear license plate mounted jammer as thats where they always laze you.

I paid about 400 for my ZR4 and about 450 for my GX65.

I do not speed on the ST-I wear ATGATT but still don't trust the ST above 100 with the "wobble".

Regards...Greg:cool:
