I'm surprised nobody pointed out that if the caliper has movement, and he's never addressed the brakes, that his SMC is probably frozen and has given up the ghost.
The SMC (piston) should feel like its under pressure, and should only move forward about 1-2 mm at most. If you can grab your caliper and shake it, and it rattles, its telling you that your piston is stuck down in the bore and probably toast.
