It will then cut power to the engine - I think by cutting the LT power to one of the coils.

ST1100 TCS reduces engine power by retarding the ignition timing, by as much as 20 degrees if I recall correctly.

Thanks Andrew - I wasn't sure. I know that it felt vicious when it happened to me, mid-overtake.
