Loop Through Icefield Parkway

I have to say it was one of my favourite rides I have ever done. It was a gorgeous day, got an early start, was on the road by 7:40 am and home by 2:30 pm. I didn't stop except to fill up - not that I was empty but there are a couple long stretches without services. The temperature drop from the first pic to the last pic was from 20 to 13 degrees Celsius but with the sun, even 13C felt balmy. I only road a section of the parkway from Saskatchewan River Crossing to Lake Louise about 78 kms. But the entire parkway runs from Lake Louise up to Jasper and is about 270 km long. I'm hoping to ride the entire thing later this summer. The entire ride was 630 kms or just a little over 390 miles. Happy to take anyone on a tour once the border opens. There's another stunning ride down through Kananaskis Country that is shorter but spectacular as well.

It’s a beautiful area. My son and daughter both work in those mountains. I was planning to be there riding for the month of June. Unfortunately this COVID will not make it possible. Hopefully August will open up. F2710B66-3F7E-4851-BFE7-7039EF19548F.jpeg

Well I'm sure glad no one thinks I'm nuts as I too think Jasper and the Banff area is my favorite place on earth.
I have an East Indian guy at work that says they bottle up the air from there and sell it in India
