Their shipping is normally $25 a set but they knock $10 off for 2 sets.

I just got an update on my order. Seems both front tires are on backorder. I'm waiting to hear if I can still get them before the 20th. :(

Not bad prices for the PR2 since I ordered my PR2s from SouthWest Moto

Front $138.95 (1)
Back $164.95 (X2)

No S&H or tax charges for a total of $468.85

I'd like to say a good word for Lannys Cycle World in Hot Springs, Ark. I got Roadsmarts installed and a full service done for $613.00. Not bad for mounted and balanced and synthetic oil in engine and rear end. lannyscycleworld.com is his web site. Good guy. Give him a call.

Da?MM! Three weeks ago I got a new RoadSmart for the rear - $260 mounted... today... with over 3,000 now on the rear I had to replace the OEM Bridgestone front, got just over 12,000 out of it. Cost $220 mounted out on the road and I was lucky to find a place that was close to the distributor (Marshall in Cass City, Mi) and they were able to scoot me in and out in under 45 minutes.

Arrived in Toronto this evening for a few days of Canadian riding - then up the east shore of Lake Huron through the Manitoulins and back to the UP of Michigan at Sault Ste Marie at the end of the week.

Just look at the rear road smart.. 3,500 miles of mostly straight roads through Ohio and Michigan... and it's beginning to square up. VERY disappointed with that. AND, I was in a 90 degree turn at about 40 mph today on a secondary road ... tar snakes in the middle of the turn and the front RoadSmart wanted to follow EACH snake and the rear felt like it wants to slide along them. Very odd feeling. BUT, I have noticed that I am getting significantly better gas mileage from them over the OEM Bridgestones.

Byron,

I have almost 5000 miles on my Roadsmart's. I still have significant tread to go (5mm.). I have been very pleased with the lack of tread wear. My last set of BT021's made it to 5300 miles.

Well I measured them when I got home tonight.

The rear avg = 3.2 mm or .1314"
The front avg = 2.9 mm or .1115"

Well, looks like I'm going to get a bit more use then the guy in the link, Thanks saaz!

0 miles installed, mine measure 4mm front, 6mm rear.

My front with 5000 miles is at 3mm. Looks like I should get close to 10K out of it.

My rear has 2500 miles and is at 4mm already and is looking a little square. I don't think this tire is going last very long. I am getting ready for 3500 mile ride in a couple weeks.

I was pissed that I only got 7K out of a rear 021. The previsous set of 020's I used, I got 11K out of the rear and 16.5 out of the front.

Going to put my 2nd set of road smarts on tomorrow. The set coming off has 6000mi. The back is bald, the front is not far behind.

for got to mention ,this will be my 5th set of tires on my 07 . which has 25000 mi. One year old last month

Not letting it collect any dust I see. :)

Well my Roadsmart total mileage will have to wait a while. With WeSTOC around the corner I mounted a set of PR2's for the trip. Eventually I'll get back to the Roadsmart's to see how they do. In the mean time I'm enjoying the PR2's. :D

I am now at 4,300 miles on this set of Roadsmarts and seem to have 1/4 to 1/3 of the rear tire still left after riding basicly straight roads. The rear tire is certainly squared off.

However I am now in Tenn and will be riding the secondary roads from here on so should begin to use the rest of the tire.

The front tire is still in very good shape, with no cupping.

I will report at the end of life for rear and front tires.

Anybody have any updates on this post? I've got 400-500 miles left on my OEM's and not sure if I want RoadSmarts or Storms. Seems there are good and bad reviews on here regarding both.

My 1st rear Roadsmart was replaced at about 7,500. Wear bars all showing.

My 2nd one has just over 5,000 miles on it and 2 wear bars are showing. I imagine I'll put on another 500 with misc riding before TentSTOC. I'll then put on a Mich PR2.

My orig BS 020 got right at 7,800 so, I'd say stay away from Roadsmarts and I'm not too keen on Dunlop given some other people's experiences.

I can't comment on the PR2s yet, the front only has 2,000 miles on it and looks brand new.

Currently have the roadsmarts and don't feel confident on them. Don't like the transition between compounds with the dual compound.

I'm on my second set of RoadSmarts. I would have gotten about 10K out of the first set had I not cut the front tire. I got 10K out of my two sets of OEM Bridgestones, as well. Makes me wonder if Mellow is too light to keep the rear wheel from spinning, or if maybe the Texas roads are more abrasive. I'm certain it has nothing to do with aggressive riding... I haven't noticed any problems with the dual compound as Tom has. Experience with tires seems rather variable.

Too light, ha!

I'm sure it's the TX roads.

Just put my second set on. Got 7.5k out of the first set. Not bad, but not great. Could've eeked out another 500 to 1k, but I'd like to make TentStoc and TwoBros makes it soooo ez to get 'em here..why not?

Anybody else get a wobble at 40-45 MPH with them? I use to get the same thing on my 1100 with the Metzler Z4, but liked the tire enuf to keep buying them until they went Z6 on us.

Love the 'Smarts, but got this wobble thing. I wrote the first pair off as maybe a balance issue or just.........me. It was only like 3 months of riding so I figured I could tolerate it. But here it is again and I reeeeeeeally took my time balancing (Mark Parnes system). Great tire. Sticky. No problem at speed, just the slow stuff. Is the ST ever any fun at slow speed?

Anyone?

I have 7,700 miles on my first set of Roadsmarts, mostly fully loaded highway miles, and am happy with the performance and wear. I think I can get a few thousand more miles from this set. My next set will probably be Roadsmarts.
