So I bought a used 2004 ST1300 and the picture is of the tool roll that I inherited with the bike. Here is the list of items.

1) Allen wrench.
2) Philips head screw driver but no handle.
3) 8mm wrench.
4) 8mm wrench with holes that seem to fit number 5.
5) 10mm type socket at the end.
6) Wrench 10mm and 12mm.
7) 17mm wrench.
8) Sleeve that seems to go over number 7.
9) Spark plug wrench.
10) Christmas wrench.
11) The world's worst pliers.
12) Fuse puller.

Curious to know what others are using for their tool roll.

Looks like some came from the oem kit. (later years only got the allen key and a pc of mystery foam thought to clean off blinker fluid)
The allen wrench gets you into the side fairing if you need a jump. 5 6 8mm
The thin wall spark plug wrench is useful.
Pliers are great for blood blisters, the left hand metric adjustable is great for rounding off nuts LOL.

Most folks who carry tools have a small like the slime mini compressor and a tire plugger.
Prolly a good idea to carry stuff to pull the wheels. 1-1/16 aka 27mm socket for the rear. 8mm? allen so the axle doesn't spin.
8mm *two 10mm 12 and 14 gets you into a lot of places.
JIS crosspoint (not phillips to avoid camout) screw drivers. Stubby for the back two air box cover screws.
*2 10mm somethings to loosen the back gas tank hing to put it in the maintenance position. There's a prop rod under the seat to hold the tank. 8mm socket to remove the 2 front screws. (don't drop the washers)

Forget the front axle bolt size you can get by with out a 17mm allen to keep it from spinning and tap it out.
iirc the crappy screw driver fits in the hole in the front axle to pull it all the way out.

Copy of the RAN list (rider assistance network) CC cell phone is good.

Couple of threads on what folks carry with them.

I didn't even get a tool kit with my 2010 when I bought it...I didn't get the windshield, speedometer, front fairings, nor a rear fender either! :(

So, I would say you did pretty good there! :)

Congrats on a 2004. It's a beautiful blue.
It's also the only year that they included those wonderful pliers.

George used mine once to adjust his pinlock. But other then that I couldn't really find an appropriate use for 'em. Well.. maybe as a door stop?

Welcome to the club.
Add a Visa or MC to the toolkit, the RAN list and you are good to go.
Maybe a tire plug and a small compressor.

Enjoy,
T
