If you were not already aware...... as discussed on ADV rider, some have been using Achilles ATR-K Economist (~$50) but apparently not the greatest, and the newer on on the block is the Bridgestone Potenza RE040 in the 175/55R17 size (~95). It has a more rounded profile..... anyway, interesting option. They are hard to find, but have been around for a couple of years (maybe in Oz first?). There are some on ebay but 2015 manufacture if that concerns you.

Hmm... well you would be 1.6% smaller on the diameter and gain 3% in the width. Your dash would be measuring 1.5% high on the speed and odometer.
Our typical darkside is 0.4% taller and 21% wider. This causes the dash to be reading 99.5% of true speed (not that the ST13 speedometer is anything of a reference for accuracy).

Interesting option, a slight downsize on the rear wpould change the feeling on the front. We typically have to go double dark (upsize the front just a hair) to get the bike handle feeling back, not sure what this would do to that feeling.

Curious... let me know if ya try.
