New Goldwing farkling begins

I got this sweet 2019 Gl1800 DCT non tour recently with just over 8000 miles and luckily it already had oem heated grips, Rivco hiway pegs, oem fog lights and drivers back rest. I just installed a new luggage rack I got off Amazon for $135 which I mounted my Givi monokey rack onto, now I can install my 47 liter Givi top box for road trips.
Next will be my helibars II risers and an oem power outlet, also front tie down brackets. I’m in the design phase of making a gps bracket which will be installed same place as Traxxions mount but be much easier to install and you won’t have to give up your pop up vent (I will make a batch and see how much interest there is)

No lighting kit- when I’m riding the mountain twisties it stays off at the tent and I move to different camp sites often so it comes off a lot

It has a quick screw disconnect. Check it out. You can set it up for running lights, blinkers and brake lights. But it takes special blinker fluid.

I just bought a new 2024 tour dct airbag model in grey metallic.

Didn't have much choice as it's the only color the airbag comes in up here. Non airbag tours are this or white. Bagger comes in green only.

Could? Rarely, but sometimes.
Should? Nope. Nope. Nope.

Issues that prevent it are: snow, ice, potholes (worse than normal), sand/grit all over the roads, cold and motorists who don't clean off vehicles so 1. they can't see & 2. snow and ice flies off them in chunks... So basically it's common sense and self preservation at play.

There's a reason they sell side by sides with tracks, snowmobiles & timber sleds up here.

I think I would find that more useful than getting a GW Tour. Good for those rare rides with the Mrs but otherwise could be left off on the fly.

If you buy a Tour model you can't just take the trunk off unless you buy a kit. There won't be any plastics underneath.

If you buy a Gold Wing (the bagger version is called a Gold Wing) you can add a trunk, be it Honda, Givi or other.
