In my experience, compared to the PR's, they generally have pretty similar characteristics. They both offer good linear handling where the response is proportionate to the bar input, especially at initiation and subtle lean angles. They both have great wet and dry traction under hard braking and at deep angles, being pushed hard. The only significant difference I found was the response to irregular surfaces. The PR's roll over cracks, small lips, grooves, rough surfaces and grated bridges with little, if any relative interruption. The Pirelli's were very sensitive to anything but relatively smooth, consistent surfaces. Long grated bridges and extended sections of top grated asphalt (preparation for repaving) were somewhat unsettling. The feedback when diagonally crossing cracks, lips and riding extended stretches of grooved pavement was quite present, yet not really bothersome. It was enough for me to go back to PR's, at which point the experiences I had with the Angels sensitivity became even more apparent.
