I have the identical leak as the OP.
I removed the tank, removed the air box. fired up the bike and found the leak.
It was not the rubber damn (as suspected).
Right dead center of both valve covers on the top side, oil leaks from there.
This was my first valve check, so re-using the old gaskets doesn't seem to be the way to go.
New valve cover gaskets will be here Tuesday. Not a big deal to fix.

Yes, by all means, DON'T pull the throttle bodies for the clamp R&R...instead, do pull the radiator (and thermostat) and you'll have access from the 'front' of the engine to all the clamps. And you'll also get to see where the oil seep is coming from (I'm still expecting that you'll find it's the rubber dam pinched under the valve cover ;)).

You can see pics of mine in various states of service in My Galleries.
Thanks BakerBoy! I like your constant tension clamps used at thermostat. Mind if I ask where I can get them!?
Came to find out, there's no oil leak from cylinder head cover, but there's quite a coolant leak from thermostat.
The sealing washer at the right cam chain tensioner lifter shaft seems to help stopping a bit of oil leak.
I ordered both the left and right cylinder bank coolant return hoses, along with thermostat / o-ring.

Here's the original thread on the topic of breeze clamps: https://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?21068-ST1300-Solving-the-Coolant-Leak-Problem-For-Good

I don't recall if I got my breeze clamps at McMaster Carr or elsewhere. But, I would order one of the clamps one size larger than recommended in the above link, so that it will properly fit over the larger hose that connects onto the upper right connection of the thermostat housing [as viewed from the front wheel].

Here's the write-up I put together on the installation of the breeze clamps (and other maintenance items) on my bike: https://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?38212-ST1300-1st-Significant-Service-Coolant-Thermostat-Starter-Valve-Synch-amp-Other&p=1243193&viewfull=1#post1243193

Thanks BakerBoy,

McMaster clamps worked like a charm!
No more annoying leaks for now.
