Glad to see that bridge is opened again.
It was closed because the extreme cold caused the cables to contract which caused the deck to rise approx 6". Not a nice thing to hit in a big rig.
That was a few years ago....before the twin bridge was open, the only way to get across Canada at that point was to go into the States and cross near Duluth and Sault St. Marie. Hwy 11 and Hwy 17 both Trans Canada highways converge at Nipigon....there are no other bridges that cross the Nipigon River....

I guess i a little behind on my facts. I knew some trucker friends were a little taken back in navigating the north. Made for a longer than expected delivery.
