Stopped into the local Honda dealer today to price out a bike for the kid for Christmas. Long story short they had a 2012 K1600GTL with a premium package at 2,105 miles for $18,500 dark blue and well (After some haggling over trade value and % rates), so long ST1300 and hello K1600GTL :)

Don't know to much about these bikes yet but I had been meaning to explore more about them lately and well how often does a two year old bike with 2,100 miles come along? Had to explain that one to the wife when she briefly objected after I got home with it. "We didn't need a new bike now; It isn't the right time, etc." She is over it already. :D

Feels a little weird not owning a Honda as my primary bike for the first time as an adult and I haven't even figured out how to change the radio stations yet but so far I think I am going to like it. Pic's to come tomorrow as the camera on my cell is failing for some reason.

When it is a BMW K1600, more often than you would think...

I sincerely hope it serves you well but I would be VERY nervous about why someone would spend that much money and then immediately sell it.

Being in car sales myself, I made sure to ask the pertinent questions as to why it was traded in and I was satisfied with the answer.

Welcome to the "Grey side".

Only advice is learn all the controls while sitting in the garage not while riding.

I have seen you with the cruise set playing with the controls all while giving Booger hand signs. WELCOME to other side, go ahead and order a second back tire and schedule a maintenance :)

Congratulations on your new purchase. I hope you have many smiles ahead!

Cool, can't even imagine the feeling of all that HP. Enjoy!

Thank you all. Spent most of my morning, playing on it and trying to figure out all the control's. Made all of them work at some point or another. Now it is just a matter of memorizing so it becomes second nature to work on the road.

Congrats on the purchase. Nice color also. I think you will be satisfied on your decision.

Congrats on the new K16. You'll love it. Control aren't that bad after you get to know them. Blue toothing & pairing is some what of a bear though, but doable. Don't worry about some of the whiners here, their still in shock about not getting the new ST today.
