When I replaced my PR2's with the 3's, I noticed 3 noticable improvements right away.
1) When leaned over the 2's felt like they just wanted to keep going, they didn't "hold"
the line. But the 3's stay where you put them. Much better.
2) They absorb bumps better.
3) The bike danced less in windy traffic like around big trucks. But it still dances.
I just returned from a 1600 mile trip from Buffalo to North Carolina and I should have
replaced the front PR3 before the trip. I hit very heavy and windy rain on mountain roads
and even at it's worn out limit, driving very carefully, it never lacked grip once. I was
amazed. I did install a new front PR3 yesterday, and of course the handling is like magic new after
the worn out semi-squared off front was replaced. That's normal, but the wet grip is amazing.
The front had about 11k miles on it. The rear PR3 has about 5-6k and has a lot of life left I think.
I think PR3's are very good tires.
