Questionable VRR ST1100

I'm getting a little suspicious of my regulator. Wondering if anyone who has done the 40amp upgrade might have their old 28 amp VRR laying around and available?
Have yet to muster the courage to proceed with the upgrade. Thanks...

If you ever want help undertaking that project I will help you. I have done two of them so far, It's not too bad! Just takes a lot of time and patience!! Once you do it you will be so glad you did!
