Raer Wheel final drive coupling removal

Ok, how do you remove the final drive coupling on a 93 ST1100. I have looked for videos with not much luck my manuauls simply say fit out however min eis not going anywhere. So what bit of simplicity am i missing. LOL. Thanks in advance.

Just pry it up gently all around the flange. It will slowly lift out. Protect the edge of the wheel from damage . I used the curved handle of the Honda pliers to get under it.

Like Bush says the 5 pin Centre will lift out.
DON'T loosen the nuts.
Leave your nuts alone!
A small pry bar may be required.

And . . . if you are intending to replace the rubber dampers and aluminum inserts (both should go hand in hand) now, or at some future point, you will, more often than not, need a rubber mallet to drive the pins back into the inserts to seat the flange. Use the proper Moly paste as required too.
