I have a new rear Avon Storm ST tire not yet on my ST1300. Does anyone know how many miles I could expect to get with this tire?

I get anywhere between 6k and 9k out of mine. Just depended on riding style and load and heat and roads etc. YMMV.

Thanks. I was guessing about 8K miles, so 6K - 9K seems about right. I have a Michelin Pilot Road rear tire with about 7K on right now, but I am about to head out on a 10K mile trip. Since I don't want to have to change tires on the road, I may have to save the Avon for later and buy/install a Metzler ME880 before I go.

Wasn't yours the new Storm II? He indicated he has the Storm.

I've used 4 Storms and have gotten anywhere from 6.5k to 8.5k. I tried a ME880 once for a long trip and after all was said and done I only got 8.5k on it. And that was mostly slab driving...

My previous rear tire was a ME880, but I got a puncture at around 7K miles so I am not sure how many miles it was good for. Have you ever gotten 10K miles on a rear tire on your ST?

6000 to 8000 miles. I ran Storms (AV55 and AV56) for 40,000 miles and rear tire mileage ranged from the high 5000s to low 7000s. That is solo, sporting use, and in 40 to 100 degree ambient temps.

Yep, I would expect at the lower end of that range with relatively easy use. Just depends as some may get more mileage out of it.

I can't imagine that many miles on a tire mounted on a sporting motorcycle.
