Danny Ezel worked at Ft. Rucker in Enterprise, Alabama in avionics. His wife, Kaye, said that he left work early on Monday so that he could cut the grass before dark. The ride home is approximately 45 miles, mostly county roads.

At 3:00 PM, just south of Enterprise, Danny hit a deer while riding his 2004 ST1300. He was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries. His funeral will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009.

A State Trooper spokesman commented in a local newspaper that speed was not a factor. I knew Danny to be a very conscientious rider. He commuted to work on a bike year-round. He rode a Goldwing, later a VTX1300, and most recently the ST.

More sad news. The larger the audience the more likely we are to hear of such.

Prayers and condolences to the family and friends.

Prayers to family and friends.
George I hope you're right, hearing too much of this stuff lately.
