Running my pan up for its monthly winter fuel cycle and noticed .....

Its not about whether running a bike once a month in winter is correct, thats just what I do.
Its about the 2 tiny holes at the front underside of each standard exhaust silencer , which I noticed venting exhaust gas.
I used to put tiny holes in car silencers many years ago to stop them rotting, but these holes look very much like Mr Honda put them there perhaps to drain water.
Anyone know about this, or know they have the same?
Meanwhile, may I wish everyone here a much better 2021, with great safe rides.

Yes, drain moisture to avoid them rusting.

Yep, a surprising amount of water drips out when the bike is just started on a cold day.
Yes, and I was initially blaming the dog - til I remembered that I had idled my ST for about 10 minutes.

Can I still blame him after I have indulged in unwise holiday eating?

I remember seeing similar holes in the mufflers of my 750-4 for the same reason - condensation draining/rust prevention.
