Sad indeed... it looks like Steve just joined and posted here 1 month ago but in that one post, it showed his willingness to help others and his love of motorcycling.

He states his stoc number is 1064.

P.S.... most don't reply to the 'welcome' PM the site sends... Steve did..

Thanks Mellow,
Be well and ride today for the ones that can not!LoL

Wow, sad news indeed. Just read his intro and sounds like he was up for the season, Arctic Circle in June. Any news on what happened?

As Joe noted, probably cancer. Given that he passed away at home and the memorial fund is designated as the American Cancer Society, that's best guess.

Sad news by an account...

I just saw the post on the MSTA (formerly the HSTA) list and the cause is heart failure.

We met STeveO (aka; stevo1100) about 11 - 12 years ago maybe longer. He just showed up on our "Door Step" one day. Words couldn't describe how excited we were to see another ST1100 find it's way to our driveway. Why was this so unusual ? This was back before most people new what an ST was and you was hard pressed to see one in passing. This high spirited ST Rider not only came to pay a visit, he let us know that he just moved up the street from us, recognized our name from the, then mailing list, and well, here he is. Wow, 2 Avid St riders not only in the same State/County/City, but now within the literal stones throw. WE had a lot of great rides over the years together, He would always call and say "Lets Go!", He would be Fred's excuse to escape for a "Ride" and not do his chores, or he would disappear to STeve's house for some ST Wrench Turnin, Tire Kicking, or plain "Bench Racing". There was no doubt that STeve couldn't wait to go ride. He has been one of the few that we have met that belongs to the 6 digit Odometer Club. He could ride too! We were always within a few bike lengths of one another, a pleasure to have another ST Rider that would want to continue riding with us.
STeveO had an enthusiasm to riding that is truly the core of what started the ST Community, and what makes it continue to grow today.
We will miss his camaraderie and the high energy enthusiasm for riding, (and his ST).

Ring - - Ring - - - STeve ! ! - - - Fred - - - "LETs GOWw ! !"
