Shipping out of boston!

I was sitting in Yellowstone in a 'traffic jam' where some lady though she saw something and stopped dead center in the middle of the road, blocking traffic both ways. Since I was on a bike, my thought process was like this -
'If it's a momma bear and she has a cub, she is gonna be mighty mad about being disturbed.
She will come charging up the hill and everybody will jump into their cars and here I will sit as bear bait.
So ranger or no ranger, I got out of there however I had to get around the parked cars!"

I had a similar experience as you had in Yellowstone back at Four Corners in 2002 -

Uncle Phil - West 2002 Day 15

But I decided I was not going to let inconsiderate folks rob me of a special time though it would cost me -

Uncle Phil - West 2002 Day 16

I've found most of the crowds don't get up too early, so early is the best time to take a 'look and see'.

found a crummy but free camp spot and the weather feels warmer. Hoping for a good nights sleep.
it felt good today.

Woke up, as usual, before the sun. Seems the stars are the best then. Made coffee, shut the light and watched the light show for an hour. Chilly but nice! I tried to get to sturgis last tour but was hailed out. Spent two days holed up in a motel.
im thinking im going to try again. I heard they have a nice motorcycle museum there.

Excellent breakfast! Cheap too!
i was shocked. These folks were doing a buggt right down a 70 mph highway. No flashers, just a orange triangle! Guess they are in a hurry to say hello to their maker?
feels good to get out in the open and open the bike up a bit. Hoping for warmer nights. Very little sleep these past three nights.

Are you using any kind of sleeping pad beneath the sleeping bag?
Adds more insulation and a degree of softness, over the bare, raw tent floor on the cold hard ground.
