i.m in the process of installing an electronic cruise control to replace my vacume unit( the old one was damaged from a higher than normal heat location- at least that's my dianosis) i had assumed that the electronic unit would be much smaller than the "old school" vacume....WRONG! i was rather supprised when i opened the package- it was bigger than the old! measured them today and the electronic came in at 49cu inches and the old vacume was 40!!! this makes placement a bit harder in something like an 1100. fwiw- i am installing the electric servo.controler up in the front fairing this time and will be shorting the cable by about 12". in all fairness if the installer is going to also install a vacome resivore( half liter of capacity= 30cu inches) then the total for it will be much greater, but then the two can be installed in different spaces. just an heads up for anyone thinking about installing either in they're own bike. hope this is of use to someone
