Am I the only one that sees the upper mounting bolt chewed up from pliers or vice grips?
Or the brake caliper rubber grommet sticking out, and appears to be torn and damaged?
Or the damage on the rotor from the alignment of the pads perhaps?
Or the rounded off and damaged non-OEM bleeder?
Or the odd and strange angle of the brake caliper housing?
And.....I seriously hope I'm wrong.....but all that debris on the caliper appears to be aluminum shavings from where the rotor may have been digging into the SMC bracket!
My first thought is someone put the left side wheel spacer in backwards, which moved the caliper over, and then the rotor cuts a path through the SMC bracket.
I have no words.....
Maybe Aniwack can reach out and help him since he's closer than I am :rofl1:

Have you looked at the articles or links in this thread?
You have not yet told us that you have, or not.
Your questions seem to ask the same thing over and over (what can I do to fix it?), as if you have not tried or read any of the resources that have been provided.
I am not trying to be a jerk, but you have to give us something to work with, like giving answers to the questions asked by the folks here trying to help.

I'm terrified to think that you're out riding around on this abomination of a front end. The rotor shows clear signs of extensive damage and should be parked immediately. I specialize in 1300 repair but you would be responsible for getting the bike to and from Atlanta. It would take a couple days to get it sorted out.

Thanks for telling us about this guy you took the bike to on the first lock up.....but you could have lost your brother because of him!

What you are also telling us here is that your bike has now been through two lock ups, which may have caused more damage to the rest of the braking system than you and me would be able to assess.

For your and your brother's safety, take it to a specialist (we used to have two of them in the country, but one of them had his tools taken away by his wife because he was secretly working on a BMW in the middle of the night!). Luckily the other one is next door in Georgia.

The "Guy" telling you that you can activate the front to bleed the back is about just as good as telling you that you can pump up your rear tire if you pressure up the front to high enough pressure (It doesn't work, don't try it!).

The 1300 is a great bike, but the SMC needs special attention.
