After a few blown fuses... Hooking up a meep meep horn is a success!

6P black, I used the power from SW 5 to the horn, ground from orange black wire stopping off at the bullet connector behind the coolant reservoir, to the horn.

SW 5 on, SW 1 and 2 on, push 3 and meep meep. I already have the 1,2 used for relay triggers on DL lights.

Honda says 30w for SW 1 or 2, my spots are a lot more than that apparently and my fogs are just a little more so I relayed them on SW 1 and SW 2.
30W at 12V is around 2.5 amps. If your spots came with fuse bigger than that, which I would suspect that they did, then they are probably too much for the switch to handle. FYI a standard halogen head light is 55W/4.t amps.

They look to be 30W a piece, I should have looked closer at them before I installed. I took the wire and relay out when I did it. Doh! All good now with a relay and trigger.

I don't seem to be able to get anything from switch 5, is it fused or something somewhere

Switch 5 is a siren switch. One wire (red/yellow) should go to a 6-way connector (with only 5 wires) that plugs into a siren controller. The other (pink/black) goes to the siren relay, which then goes to fuse O, also via a pink/black wire. That fuse should be in a small fusebox with only two fuses in it (strobe and siren), both 10A. From the fuse, the siren relay supply goes direct to the 30A main fuse via a red wire.

At least that's what the circuit diagram says. YMMV. UK ST1100s were wired the same way, except the fusebox had four fuses (siren, strobe, hazards, rear fogs/voltmeter).

I couldn't post a helpful pic as UK ST1300PAs didn't have the multiple switch on the handlebar - they had a completely different system with a bespoke controller on the LH bar.

Yes, Honda used a stainless steel platform that bolted onto the standard seat rail, and the radio box bolted into that. The "whale tail" at the back is for red and blue strobes and a message matrix that can be operated from the controller on the bars.

I've just picked up a 2014 ST"P". I have these plugs at the back under the seat. Any ideas on which ones are for the right controler on the grips ? Also there's two loose relays back there under the seat too...Thanks everyone for the help!
Greetings, welcome and congratulations.

If you go to post 1 of this thread you will see the OEM plugs. Your plugs have been replaced and you'll have to use the wire colors to determine function, schematic also in post 1. One of the loose relays is the strobes wiring and the other is the sirens. All the factory wires are what is controlled by the switch pod, I see some non factory wiring in your picture, no idea what they would do, you'll have to trace them. Having a service manual will be a great help to you. Please post pictures of your bike as we all love to see pictures of bikes.
