Starcom Bluetooth module

Anyone using the Starcom Bluetooth unit with a Blackberry? Before plunking down US$162 I'd love to hear some real-world feedback.

Nope, even though I have the Starcom, I went with the Scala-Rider and it's GREAT. You should be able to find one in the $80-100 range.

I used one with my Nokia phone when I had my Starcom and it worked well, I can't imagine why it wouldn't work with a Blackberry, but I know each phone etc. has it's own quirks. If you do decide you want one, I've still got mine and would be happy to let it go for $100 +shipping (which would be about $20).

I'm using one with a new Motorola i-580. Works great! I tried hard wiring my old phone to the Starcom... Had transmit issues... bought the Starcom Bluetooth adaptor & a Jabra bluetooth adaptor for my old phone had receiving issues..but would transmit fine.. bought the new i580 & all is well now.

So how does that interface with the Starcom? From looking at their website, it looks like a completely separate headset and I don't see how you'd be able to still use the Starcom, but maybe I'm missing something.

Talk to Tim at www.sporttouring.ca he is a Starcom dealer and is a member of this site.

He is using the bluetooth adapter, but I don't know with what phone.

Works fine with my BB and also my Motorola Razr, quick link up and good audio.

Keith - You got it right and AFIK, that's all that Starcom presently offers.
