I was browsing another website and found this thread: LINKY.

Just curious if anyone else has done anything like this?

That's cool... I like that... if I had a lift, I'd have to park my bike on it all the time as I wouldn't have much room left in the garage...

The only problem is resale for the house might be tougher if selling to someone that doesn't ride, then you'd have to fill it in and that would just hurt to do...

Put a lift under the lift!
:D :D A little more digging needed ...

I think they're all pretty standard but I guess its possible he's got a table lift that goes up higher than the ones I've seen - max height of lift is usually around 33". Mine will go to 35 and a bit - but isn't `sposed to.

I really like his idea tho - nice clean look

He lists what lift he used and the heights he has on page 2 of the thread:
I purchased this specific Handy Lift for its 35" full lift capability. It is 7.5 inches fully retracted I made the hole just a tad deeper than the 7.5 inches so it would sit almost level with the floor or just below.

Now I have about 28 inches of total lift, more than enough for my purposes. Most lifts only go up about 28-30 inches anyway. You do give up some but not enough to make that much difference, IMO.
