In general, I've found that the 10mm socket / spanner is more likely than not to be the most heavily used. 12mm is up there as well.

That's hilarious! --- They need to come out with a 12mm set too... recently changed the rear pads on my car and used a 12mm in the process.. put it all back together and dang it, couldnt find the frickn 12mm socket to put it away! :eek:

I bought an assortment of 10 mm sockets (1/4 and 3/8” drive as well as long reach) several years ago on eBay. They always tend to get lost. It’s not myth, it’s fact! 10 mm is the most used fastener used in cars as well as bikes (although some brands like Volvo use Torx bits for some reason, well, maybe just to confuse us and make us buy more tools).
