In an effort to reduce the heat my ST1300 puts out I'm replacing the 5 way T and hoses. I've decided not to buy Honda's individual hoses but buy hose and cut my own. Does anyone know what size hose to buy? Where? I'd like to get this replaced and sync my throttle bodies. Hopefully this will cut the heat some. Thanks.

So, are you having any cold start idle issues,,, and/or, is the bike showing any FI warning lights ?? Those are typical symptoms of a clogging 5-way. Or, are you digging in to perform a starter valve sync,,, (that may well help your engine heating problems),, and then just servicing the 5-way as a preventative measure ? Cat'

Actually if you buy the hose from Honda, they will sell you a "bulk hose"..and it will be the right size!
Do you know if the bulk hose used for measuring throttle body vacuum on the ST 1300 that you cited in your post #2 above (Honda PN 95005 35001 20M) is the same size hose that is used for measuring carburetor vacuum on the ST 1100? In other words, would a big roll of this hose be suitable for both models of STs?

No cold start issues. Just trying to reduce the heat.

Sync the throttlebody then, that will help. I don't think replacing those vacuum lines, unless they are leaking, will do much for the heat....
I already sent them once and it still hot. So the thinking is they are leaking.

Bob be careful using the term firmly and secured when talking about the insulators, they are tightened by measuring the flats, not tightening them down, but you know that.

I would think "firmly secured" would be taken as in place and no leaks... :rofl1:

I hear ya, but you know how folks just "snug" their drain plug into the engine...and it turns the crush washer into a bowl :rofl1:

That's exactly why I flip it every oil change, it moves the "bowl effect" to the other side!
