BTW, I like the NEP better because I found I could set the lever with my heated gloves on a lot easier than I could with the Vista cruise. Good luck on your choice.
Looking at the NEP, I kinda like it better than the Vista Cruise... plus it's a bit cheaper. Might go that route instead.

Found that Kalifornistan Sport Touring has them... $23 and one is on the way to me.

I had the BrakeAway unit on my previous bike. It was the best addition that I made for longer rides. It took a little time to adjust but it worked perfectly. Easy to engage and to disengage. Going to order one for my new ST.
Good luck with your decision.

I tried a pattern Vista Cruise and it was not best suited to the ST1100 as I had the Police switch on the right side..... I now use the NEP and find it good enough once it is set up properly.

It can be fragile with thicker gloves so more care needs to be exercised then.

I bought a Go Cruise Throttle Control about a month ago. I prefer it much more than the Vista Cruise I have been using. Its about $20.

I use a Throttlemeister. I like it, but have never used anything else, so I can't compare. I did find a knurled ring to go around it, which makes it very easy to set and release.

+1 on the Go Cruise, ridiculously easy install and works great.

I use it on my KLR but tried it out on my 1300 when I first got it. Even though I have the Audiovx electronic cruise control I find it easier to use around town so I ordered another one for the ST.

I've only ever used the Vista Cruise. It took a small modification and screw to install on the ST. Very natural to use. Is easy to set and release. Never so tight that you can't override it. Simple and cheap

The Kaoko is much better IMO. I've had both, and the Throttlemeister looks more "factory" but the Kaoko works much easier and better. For me, function is more important than form (and really the Kaoko doesn't really look bad at all, it just doesn't blend is as much as the TM). Good luck.

I like the Breakaway. Not very cheap, but holds rock solid while also releasing with either the push of a button or grabbing the brake lever.

Recently got the breakaway throttle lock for my 2003 1300. Absolutely love it!! Very well built n easily installed. Couldn't be better for an after market part.

Another vote here for the Brakeaway. Have one on my 06 1300. Like many others I haven't used anything else, so I can't compare.

I've got a Throttlemeister on my 2003ST as well. Used it for a year and have been very happy with the product including heavy bar end weights. What is the knurled ring you are referring to in your post?

I found it on Ebay several years ago. Haven't seen it in quite a while. A guy was machining them. Makes it easier to set the Lock, basically just a swipe of the finger.
