Legal speeding.com use to have a radar case that you could purchase that uses a ram mount.
It fits multiple types of radar detectors and is weather proof.
I have had it on my bike for so many years I can't remember. It has been in some nasty downpours and detector always stayed dry.
Hope this helps.

Although a little pricey
They probably figure you can afford it with the money you'll save when speeding and not getting a scratch. Hey the more you speed the more you'll save. Seriously. There are several testimonials here saying "[radar detector] paid for itself... saved my bacon..." so the price of a box doesn't seem like that much (depending on quality/fit and finish). It could be a little less function before form.

Well this Valentine has saved my bacon so many times it’s cured. But alas my habit of occasionally twisting the throttle a little too much is still uncured.

I used some heavy duty Scotch Lock to mount my Escort Red Line to the dash shelf I had on my ST1300. For the Super Tenere, I use a Ram Power Plate magnet mount for my Uniden R7. both methods work well for any radar detector.
