"ONLY" the world's toughest riders, about a hunnerd of 'em, beginning their trans-continental, occasionally international scavenger hunt for points and bonii. "ONLY" averaging 10 thousand miles in 10 days, back to back. "ONLY" two years of prep, planning, conditioning and farkling to get to the Start line.
I can't wait (and obviously no, I'm not an entrant)!!
Keep your eyes on Pittsburgh PA that Monday, and follow the lead-up as they all migrate to the beginning from across the country and test their bikes, their plans, their strategies, and of course themselves.
Someone will post a link to the conversation, speculation and wagering (not real money) as everyone checks in, has odometers checked, aux fuel tanks inspected, and more as The Big Dance draws near.
Some know this as The Iron Butt Rally.
