Wire questions.

I recently had to repair a mirror cover and repair the bulb wiring. I noticed the two sides had different colors. The left side had orange ones and the right side had blue. Is that factory wiring?
Also there was a splice on the left side for power. I don't have heated grips so i'm thinking it's for power on the cruise control. The horn is on the right side of the bike. Is the running light typically where they get the power for the cruise control?

The left wires are orange for the signal and orange/white for the running light, and the right wires are light blue for the signal and light blue/white for the running light.

Home-made taps can be almost anything. Most un-switched lighting wires are brown/white. Most after-market cruise controls are supplied by the brake-light hot wire.
