While having a scan done for an intestinal problem I'm having, a tumor was noticed, and the bloodwork just came back.

The doctor was pretty reassuring, said something like "cash out your retirement plan" or something like that.

Too bad fixing it all isn't as simple as swapping out a bad T-stat.

Let us know what is going on...

You and yours are in my prayers.

Mark
P.S.
Your avatar made me think you've already started getting irradiated...

Heh! Yes. :)

I had to laugh when I saw that icon.

And please, no prayers. It makes my butt itch. :)

:)Thanks Computer for your story. I too am having similar difficulties, and have yet to completely find all the answers. I sometimes wonder if I'll also find a similar tumor? But my Docs are on hold again, as I now have other family issues.

Life is an adventure! Take care of yourself.

Thanks man!

What is your situation?

Mine is, there is a cancer in there that is dangerous. But... it's not spreading right now.

But... do I want to go through all the radiation thing?

Would I even qualify? I couldn't even get my wisdom teeth taken out, the insurance kept telling me I had to pay $1,400.

As is, the medical tests co-pay I have right now for the cancer thing is $600

Damn Chris....hang tight.

Fight this man. Get aggressive. Most Doctors aren't aggressive enough these days, so you have to be aggressive with them.

Keep us in the loop.

Hopefully you will be able to look back one day and say "money was no object."

Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. Gotta get started on treatment quickly though.

I am cancer free for 15 years, but I got very early treatment for my melanoma.

Good luck with your situation.

BTDT II, scar from sternum to below navel.
Tests were inconclusive so they went in.

Best to you whatever you decide.
