Road a Yamaha Tracer GT this morning at Dallas Triumph, fun ride, too, bike has lots of power, more revs need than I'm using to. Quick shift would take getting used to, but NO wind protection, tiny little windshield , smallish bags. Definitely not a ST replacment. Wanted to ride a Rocket 3, but so did everyone else, too long of a wait 20220820_104554.jpg20220820_092138.jpg

I had a ‘15 FZ09, the naked version of that, for a while. GREAT engine, but the stock suspension left a lot to be desired. I understand Yamaha has addressed that in newer models. I’d agree definitely not a replacement for the ST.

I have a 2019 Tracer GT and I really like it, especially the 500 lb. weight. I have a set of FJR bags and the lids or the bags will fit my 2019 or 2020, not the new 2021 and up 9.

Wasn't intended to be a replacement for my ST or I'd have purchased an RT, an FJR or similar sport tourer. PO replaced original windshield with a much larger Madstad, but you're correct in saying that the Tracer, new or old, lacks full size ST type wind protection. One of the trade offs I'm OK with.
