Nice... Yamaha is definitely improving that bike... I love the engine. Never liked any saddlebag options and I always had wind management issues but wow, so much fun in the twisties... THAT I do miss.

I like what they did with the TFT.. integrating the map using Garmin software is good... I wonder if it will have bluetooth headset connectivity as well and include Garmin drive / weather options...

Everybody (especially moto-journos) say they love the bike/ engine, but nobody I know who has actually bought one seems to keep them more than a year or so including my son. After one year 13,000 miles he traded it in on an MT-10 which he has now had 3 years. He considered the 900 triple just an "ok" bike.

There are many on a tracer forum that are pushing high mileage number for the FJ-09 and Tracer variants.. just takes someone that likes the bike enough to keep it... Same goes with every bike.

I'm in this camp. The Tracer lacks a shaft drive and the wind / rain protection of an ST or an RT, but I knew this when I purchased a 2019 GT in 2020 with 3,700 km on it. I wanted the tech, the much lighter weight, suspension adjustability and the handling, the engine is a bonus.

Mine had, or I've added, a Madstad windshield, engine guards, T Rex highway pegs, Givi rack for my 52L Maxia, lowering linkage, Terry Adcox seat, Zumo XT + a few other things. It's a nice touring platform and I'm happy with it.

Its been a few years since I've owned a chain drive bike, how far can you go between chain lubes?
