I have not been riding my bike frequently. In the past 6 months i normally travel out for 2 weeks at a time, leaving my bike behind and when i come back its usually short town rides.
On return from one of my 2 weeks journeys the battery couldn't turn the engine,so i have to jump start it(bike has the HISS security red light always blinking when parked).
I finally traveled for 45 days, and when i came back i automatically knew i need to jump start it. As i was setting up the jumper cables it occur ed to me to just try starting it just to see how down the battery was. Lo and behold it turned the engine and the bike purred to life.
I bought the bike used with the Yuasa battery in it.
I cant use battery tender cos power is scarce commodity round here.
