I'm on my second set of Z6's. The first set only lasted 17k (Don be nice, I know I don't ride as fast as you). The second set looks to be on the same path, only 10,000 to go.

Sounds good. I have heard a lot of good things about the Z6. I am going to try a set when the OEM Excedras wear out on my ST11.

This morning I was doing my tire check and realised I now have 7,300 miles on the Z6 front. Doing well and The SB does keep the wear more even across the tread. YMWV

I would say most people here are describing mileage numbers in miles.

I think a great mod for this site would be a built in Database where you can enter that type of info. and then display reports or graphs showing trends an even have unit of measure conversions... hmmm... now that's something think about... and I've got just the person that could help us with it.

For example by looking at STony's poST I see he lives in CA. I know they use U.S. miles in CA. So STony's tire life would be 17k or 17,000 miles.

Wouldn't kilometers be expressed as km's? :?

Paul: STony uses helium in his head..er I mean his tires making them lighter ;)
I muST appologise to you Paul..My comments were in reference to Dave Wicks' 1ST poST. I neglected to mention that. The heat wave we are having here in soCA is making me giddy..83F yeSTerday!

FWIW - I put new Z-6s on my ST1100, and the rear was 160/60 vs the 160/70 OEM size. Handles great, and the shorter tire does not seem to make any difference in cornering clearance. Time will tell how they wear, but so far, they're great.
