Jackets Any regrets about hi-viz yellow jackets?

Even a stubborn Jackass knows to wear his hi-viz!

Regarding "White helmets", our State Motorcycle Safety Program Administrator informed us a few years ago that some Transportation Study group found cagers saw solid white helmets sooner, easier, and more often than all other colors/designs. I have had one since my first ride (20 yrs+) because I wanted one that didn't absorb as much solar energy. Nice to know it's safer too.

And both of my riding jackets are bright versus hi-vis yellow but I usually wear a EMS safety vest over them. The vest has 3" wide reflective plastic stripes and a "but ugly" royal blue body. A met some folks that had passed me on the slab and they said they saw the vest 1/4 mi away "but it was ugly", hence the "but ugly" vest. I thanked them for noticing it and wished them a safe trip.

Safe is way more fun !

I just checked my machine, I don't have that cycle... what brand washer do you have and where can I get one?

I LOVE my Hi-Viz gear. No other colors allowed. I will do ANYTHING to stack the odds in my favor that a car will see me.

I think it's called a bidet.:)

As for not wearing Hi_viz because the cops wear it, wear it anyway, they wear it for safety.

My regrets are that my Transitions II wasn't available in H-Viz and I got the yellow one.
And, Firstgear Mesh Tex was sold out last year, before I could get one.
I was able to get a Fieldsheer Mesh in Hi-Viz, though.

Now, I don't have to wear my Icon one size does not fit all Mil-Spec vest, anymore.

I'm sure I mentioned this elsewhere, but SteveST1300 and I were asked by a Wally World cashier in Illinois if we were with the bomb squad.

I was asked if i was SWAT when I walked in with my High Viz jacket. I asked if SWAT eats for free. When she said 'no', i said I wasn't SWAT :(

None whatsoever... you will 'think' they get dirty... you look at the jacket and it will get a black spots on them... but, they just don't look that hi-viz look to them... very eye-catching.

I have an olympia air glide 2 and tourmaster transition 2 and will probably never have a non-viz jacket again.

I seem to remember you had mentioned a dealer close to your neck of the woods that sells Olympia.I need a warm weather jacket.

After screaming to a halt on the side of the interstate last month in my Cycleport, and having 2 people say they saw me laying there because of the jacket, I'm convinced. I'm a little disappointed that I paid some big bucks for the jacket, and while it really saved my skin, the hi-viz has faded quite a bit.
If I am expecting rain I wear this jacket http://www.ondutygear.com/blauer-9970-1.html which is hi-viz and the black is reflective.
